Concealed Weapons Permit

To apply for a Florida Concealed Weapons Permit, (CWP), everyone must first take a "Concealed Weapons Permit" course.  Our class will meet or exceed the requirements set forth by the State of Florida.  
With the certificate of completion you will then be able to complete and submit your application for a Florida CWP license. To register call - 813-546-8156


In Home Training

If you would prefer to learn about "Florida Concealed Weapons Permit" in the comfort of your own home, this is the class for you.  Th class is conducted in two parts.  Part one is held in the comfort of your home and part two is held at the range.  There is NO LIVE ammunition present during part one and part two is a live fire exercise where I must witness each student safely handling and firing a handgun.  Learn without being intimidated by a large crowd of strangers.

To start or continue a career in the security field, this is your one stop shop.  Start with becoming an Un-Armed Security Officer or "D-Licensed Officer and move on to obtain your Armed Security License, G-License.  Those officers with a G-License will need to attend a 4-hour re-qualification class each year to maintain their license.  A rewarding career in security waits everyone who has a desire to help others. Basic Gun Safety and Pistol Marksmanship Class

The “Basic Gun Safety and Pistol Marksmanship Class” is for anyone who wants to learn how to shoot a handgun safely, properly and with increased accuracy.  This class will also assist you in being a more informed buyer. The class will be approximately 4 hours long.  The students, 8 maximum, will learn how to safely handle firearms, along with learning the six fundamentals of pistol shooting. The class will consist of approximately 1 hours of instruction and 3 hours of instructor supervised hands on firing various pistols of multiple calibers. The cost of the class is $150.  This covers the range fee, instructor time, handguns, ammunition, targets and bottled water.  Students may bring their own handgun if they wish, but must bring their own ammunition.  No ammunition will be supplied to fire in a student’s personal firearm.  A minimum deposit of $50 is required upon registration or you may pay the entire class fee in advance.  Without a 48 hour notice of cancellation the $50 deposit will be forfeited. There is a soda machine and bathroom available to the students.

Intermediate Pistol Skills Class – 2 hrs.


This class is designed to help the student progress from the Basic Gun Safety & Pistol Marksmanship class to a point where they are ready for the “Basic & Advanced Defensive Handgun Techniques” classes.  Class begins with a review of the safety rules and the six fundamentals of pistol shooting.  The majority of this class will be spent helping the student become more proficient with the manipulation of their firearm. Each student’s shooting methods will be analyzed for any areas of deficiency and corrective action will be suggested.  All students must supply their own firearm with multiple magazines or speed loaders and ammunition.  Approximately 150 rounds of ammunition will be required.  It is highly recommended that the student’s firearm be the actual firearm that he or she intends to use for Self Defense or Concealed Carry purposes. Holsters are not used in this class.   Class fee is $100. The cost of the class does not include the range fee, hearing / eye protection, firearm or ammunition, all of which are mandatory. All targets will be provided as will bottled water.  There is a soda machine and bathroom available to the students.

Basic Defensive Handgun Techniques – 4 hrs.

Before taking this class, the student should have a complete understanding of how their firearm functions. Class begins with a quick safety review and basic skills refresher. Students will learn proper manipulation of their handgun. Everything from a correct draw to efficient reloads. Learn and understand the “One-Shot” and “Trigger Reset” drills as well as the “Flash Fire” technique to improve your speed and accuracy. Each student will need, as a minimum, their own defensive handgun, four magazines or three speed loaders for revolvers, a properly fitting holster and 250 rounds of ammunition. All drawing will be performed from an open carry configuration.  No concealed carry drawing will be allowed in this class. Class fee is $225. A minimum deposit of $50 is required upon registration or you may pay the entire class fee of in advance.  Without a 48 hour notice of cancellation the $50 deposit will be forfeited. The class fee does not include the range fee, hearing protection or eye protection, all of which are mandatory.  All targets will be provided as will bottled water.  A soda machine and bathroom are available to the students.

Defensive shooting is not just about who pulls the trigger first!

Advanced Defensive Handgun Techniques – 4 hrs.

Students should, before taking this class, have a complete understanding of how their firearm works
and be able to fully manipulate the same. Satisfactory completion of the “Defensive Handgun Techniques” class or proper skills demonstration is required before attending this class. Class begins with a review of the safety rules, then proceeds into the introduction of various skills and drills. Learn how to overcome firearm malfunctions and practice firearm clearing drills.  Participate in One and Two handed live fire drills, engage hostage targets and learn handgun / shotgun transitioning skills. Each student will need, as a minimum, their own defensive handgun, four magazines or three speed loaders for revolvers, a properly fitting holster and 250 rounds of ammunition. To properly train, a shotgun is also required with 25 rounds of slug ammo.  Bird or Buck shot are not allowed to be fired on this range.  Shotguns are available for rent, $20 ea. Check with the instructor during registration for rental availability. All drawing will be performed from an open carry configuration.  No concealed carry drawing will be allowed in this class. Class fee is $225. A minimum deposit of $50 is required upon registration or you may pay the entire class fee of in advance.  Without a 48 hour notice of cancellation the $50 deposit will be forfeited. The class fee does not include the range fee, hearing protection or eye protection, all of which are mandatory.  All targets will be provided, as will bottled water.  There is a soda machine and bathroom available to the students.

One Handed Pistol Operation

Students should, before taking this class, have a complete understanding of how their firearm works and be able to fully manipulate the same. Satisfactory completion of the “Basic Defensive Handgun Techniques” class or proper skills demonstration is required before attending this class. Class begins with a review of the safety rules and dry-fire practice. Learn how to identify, assess and engage your target while remaining as safe as possible. Learn one-handed firing, both strong and weak handed, along with one handed malfunction clearing techniques. Learn how to move while shooting and how to direct others to keep them safe. Each student will need, as a minimum, their own defensive handgun, four magazines or three speed loaders for revolvers, a properly fitting holster, 250 rounds of ammunition and a Tactical Flashlight. All drawing will be performed from an open carry configuration.  No concealed carry drawing will be allowed in this class. Class fee is $225. A minimum deposit of $50 is required upon registration or you may pay the entire class fee of in advance.  Without a 48 hour notice of cancellation the $50 deposit will be forfeited. The class fee does not include the range fee, hearing protection or eye protection, all of which are mandatory.  All targets will be provided, as will bottled water.  A soda machine and bathroom are available to the students.
